SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR SENIOR SECONDRY RECRUIT (SSR)Indian Navy recruit eligible 12th pass/appearing candidates twice a year hence it is a golden chance to become a part of Navy just after passing you 12th exam. Here we are giving the information about the selection procedure of SSR. So read it carefully.
1. WRITTEN EXAM :- Written exam will be conducted at the designated centre on the promulgated date and time. The objective type 60 minutes duration question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The Non Matric entry question paper will of 40 minutes duration and it comprise two sections i.e. Mathematics and General Knowledge.The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate. 2. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PFT) :- Candidates who qualify the written test are permitted to undergo PFT which consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 25 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. Those who qualify PFT, are taken for Medical Examination. 3. MEDICAL EXAMINATION :- Entry level Medical standards are different for different entries. Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry. Candidates declared temporary unfit during medical examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. Those who declared permanent unfit can appeal for specialist opinion in a Military Hospital on payment of a requisite amount by Military Receivable Order (MRO) in the Government Treasury within 21 days. Medical fitness certificate from other than that of the specialist opinion in the designated Military Hospital will NOT be considered. All the selected candidates, prior to enrolment, have to undergo a Final Enrolment Medical examination at INS Chilka (Orissa). |
