SYLLABUS FOR OTHER RANKSyllabus for the various post in Indian Army is given below:-
1.SOLDIER (GD/clk.) :GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
History: Important dates & battles in Indian and world History and Land marks of Indian History, national movement. Geography: Solar System, Space exploration, The Earth, Principal Peaks, Deserts, Rivers, Lakes and famous Waterfalls, Geographical Tallest, Biggest and Longest etc. Terminology: Geographical terms, Economic terms, Astronomical terms, Legal terms and Misc terms.
GENERAL SCIENCE
Arithmetic : Consisting of numbers, HCF, LCF, Decimal, fraction, square roots, percentage, average, ratio and proportion, partnership, profit and loss, unitary method, time, work and distance, simple interest. Algebra : Basic operations and factorization, HCF and LCM, quadratic equations. Geometry : Lines and angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, parallelograms and circles. Mensuration : Area and perimeters of Squares, rectangles, parallelograms and circles, volume and surface area of cube, cuboids, cone, cylinders and sphere. NOTE : Soldier (Clk.) have to face an additional english test also. 2. SOLDIER (Tech.) :
NOTE : Nursing Assistant paper include biology subject in place of Math. 3. HAVILDAR (AEC) : The written examination will consist of one composite paper of 3 hours duration, composed of the following parts: (i) Part I: (Compulsory for all candidates): It will consist of Section 'A' and Section 'B'. Section 'A' will have questions on General English of 10+2 level. Section 'B' will have questions on General Knowledge of appropriate standard. Max Marks for each section -25, Pass Marks for each section - 10 (ii) Part II (Science of B.Sc. Standard): Compulsory for M.Sc./B.Sc. candidates. This part is further sub-divided into four sections covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates will be required to attempt questions from at least two sections. Max Marks for each section - 25, Pass Marks for each section - 10 (iii) Part III (Humanities of B.A. Standard): Compulsory for M.A./B.A. candidates. This part is further sub-divided into four sections covering History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. Candidates will be required to attempt questions from atleast two sections. Max Marks for each section - 25, Pass Marks for each section - 10 (a) M.A./B.A. candidates with Mathematics may attempt questions from Mathematics Section of Part II and at least one more section of Part III. (b) Candidates are required to pass separately in Section 'A' and Section 'B' of part I. In addition, passing individually in any two sections of part II / part III is mandatory. (c) Answer may be given in only English or Hindi. 4. JCO (RT) : The written exam for the Indian Army Religious Teacher RT JCO will consist of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. To say about the syllabus of the exam, it consists of General Awareness and on the religious faith of the candidate. Paper I: Maximum marks 100: It will contain objective type questions on general awareness and will be common to candidates of all religious denominations. Paper II: Maximum marks 100: it is knowledge specific to particular religious denominations to which the candidate belongs. Note: candidates who qualify in Paper I by securing a minimum mark of 40 out of the total 100 marks will be allowed in Paper II. 5. JCO (CATERING) : Written examination of selected candidates will be conducted at Headquarter Recruiting Zone. The following subjects will cover technical aspects of catering for testing the knowledge of candidates for recruits. Paper may be answered either in Hindi or in English :-
The written exam will be two hours. The exam will comprise of one composite question paper of 100 marks. Minimum pass marks will be 40. |
