SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR AFCAT The selection process of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is divided into many phases and the candidate should pass each stage to get into the next stage.
The first phase of the selection process is the written examination EKT which would be conducted on 22/02/2015 where the candidate is tested on his reasoning, aptitude, verbal ability etc. Based on the score of the test the candidate is admitted for the second phase or the interview stage. Then the qualification of the candidate and choice for specific branches determine which of the following tests he needs to attend i.e. Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) or Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). The third phase or the last phase is the medical test conducted at AFCME, New Delhi. It can also be conducted at IAM, Bengaluru based on the decision of the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). All India merit list is published based on the test, interview and medical test. Candidates who are found successful are posted in various vacancies at different branches based on the list. |
