SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR OTHER RANK The selection procedure for the various post other rank in Indian Army is given below :-
1. SOLDIER (GD, Tech., Clk., Nursing Assis., Tredsmen ) : Candidates will be selected based on Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Common Entrance Examination and Medical Examination 2. HAVILDAR (AEC) : STEP 1:. Screening Screening of candidates will be carried out as per programme issued by Recruiting Offices. STEP 2: Physical Fitness Test Physical fitness test will be as follows :-
STEP 3: Medical Standards: A candidate should have robust physique and mental health, chest should be well developed with minimum 5 cm expansion, should have normal hearing in each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gums and teeth, i.e 14 dental points. Should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles. Should be in medical category SHAPE-1 in terms of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/ Rtg dt 05 Aug 2005 as amended from time to time. STEP 4: Written Examination: Only those candidates selected in the screening and declared medically fit will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted at HQ Recruiting Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt on 30 Jun 2013 . The written examination will consist of one composite paper of 3 hours duration, composed of the following parts :-
STEP 5: Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview The candidates declared successful in the above written examination and placed in the merit list will appear for Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview to be conducted at AEC Training College & Centre Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates qualifying in the Written Test, Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview and placed in the merit list will be enrolled in the Army Educational Corps. 3. JCO (CATERING) : STEP 1: Screening. Screening of the candidates will be carried out from 23 - 25 Mar 2014 at Army Supply Corps Centre and College (South), Bangalore. STEP 2: Physical Fitness Test. Physical Fitness Tests applicable are as follows:-
STEP 4: Written Examination : Only those candidates selected in the screening will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted only at Army Supply Corps Centre and College(South), Bangalore on 27 Mar 2014. The written examination will be of two hours. The exam will comprise of one composite question paper of 100 marks. Min pass marks is 40. STEP 5: Result of the written examination and names of successful candidates shortlisted for interview alongwith the date and time of interview willl be communicated in situ and list will also be displayed at Army Supply Corps Centre and College (South), Bangalore on 31 Mar 2014. STEP 6: Interview
4. JCO (RT) : STEP 1: The recruitment will be carried out through all the HQ Recruiting Zones, IRO Delhi Cantt, Ladakh Scout Regt Centre Leh and JAKLI Regt Centre Srinagar. STEP 2: Submission of Application : Application duly filled as per performa given in the advertisement will be submitted by the candidate alongwith the required documents duly super scribed (APPLICATION FOR JCO (RT) COURSE NO 71) on top outer cover of envelope to the HQ Rtg Zone / IRO Delhi Cantt / Ladakh Scout Regtl Centre Leh / JAK LI Regtl Trg Centre Srinagar of which the individual is a permanent native / resident latest by 12 Jan 2013. They can appear for written exam only from the place of domicile. Application submitted to a different org of which the candidate is not domicile of will be rejected. Postal Addresses of all Headquarters Recruiting Zones & concerned Regimental Centres are given at Para 6. STEP 3: Candidates found eligible will be issued call up letters by the concerned office/recruiting organisation for initial screening which will include checking of original certificates followed by medical examination. STEP 4: The screened candidates will be put through written examination which will be conducted on 24 Feb 2013 and will comprise of two papers as follows :- PAPER I : (Maximum Marks -100). This will contain objective type questions on general awareness and will be common to candidates of all Religious denominations. PAPER II : (Maximum Marks -100). This will test the knowledge specific to particular religious denomination to which the candidate belongs. The paper may be answered in English or Hindi. Note : Only those candidates who qualify in Paper I by securing a minimum 40 out of 100 marks will be allowed to appear in Paper – II. STEP 5: In Paper II candidates are required to secure a minimum of 40 marks out of total 100 marks and come in the merit list to be eligible for appearing in the interview. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be three times the number of vacancies. Only those candidates who come in merit will be interviewed by a board of officers at the nominated Regimental Centre. The interview will be out of 100 marks. STEP 6: Candidates are required to secure minimum 50 out of 100 marks to qualify in the interview. STEP 7: The final selection will be based on merit list drawn on the basis of the total marks obtained in Paper II and Interview. STEP 8: Candidates finally selected will be enrolled as JCO (RT) and will undergo six weeks training at Regimental Centre followed by eleven weeks training at Institute of National Integration, Pune. STEP 9: Rejection can take place at any stage during training also. 5. INDIAN ARMY SURVEYOR CARTOGRAPHER : STEP 1: Application submitted to the Headquarter Recruiting Zone of which the candidate is not domicile of will be rejected. STEP 2: Enclose two self addressed stamped Registered envelopes issued by the Department of Post & Telegraph giving your present address on which the acknowledgement/call up notice / rejection slip is to be sent. STEP 3: Candidates found eligible in all respects will be issued call up letters by the concerned Recruiting offices for initial screening which will include checking of original certificates, physical fitness and medical examinations. STEP 4: The screened and found eligible candidates will be put through written examination which will be conducted on 23 Dec 07 and will comprise of two papers as follows:
Paper may be answered either in hindi or eng.
