ELIGIBILITY FOR INDIAN COAST GUARD (AC)Eligibility criteria for the Indian Coast Guard for the post of Assistant Commandent are given below:-
1. Assistant Commandant (GD) SEX:- Male BRANCH:- General Duty AGE:- 21-25 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of any recognized university by any Central / State Government / UGC with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and having Mathematics and Physics as subjects upto class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education PHYSICAL STANDARD:- Height 157cms, Weight Proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/6 & 6/9 without glasses 2. Assistant Commandant (GD)-SSA SEX:- Female BRANCH:- General Duty (Short Service Appointment for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable upto 14 years) AGE:- 21-25 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of any recognized university by any Central / State Government / UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects upto class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education PHYSICAL STANDARD:- Height 152cms, Weight Proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/6 & 6/9 without glasses 3. Assistant Commandant (GD-P/N) SEX:- Male BRANCH:- General Duty (Pilot/Navigator) AGE:- 19-25 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of any recognized university by any Central / State Government / UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects upto class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education PHYSICAL STANDARD:- Height Min 162.5 cms Max 197 cm, Leg Length Min 99 cms, Weight Proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/6 without glasses 4. Assistant Commandant(GD-P-CPL) SSA SEX:- Male/Female BRANCH:- General Duty Branch (Pilot - Commercial Pilot License - Shrt Service Appointment for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable upto 14 years) AGE:- 19-25 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- 12th or equivalent and should possess current Commercial Pilot License on the date of submission of application PHYSICAL STANDARD:- Height Min 162.5 cms Max 197 cm, Leg Length Min 99 cms, Weight Proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/6 without glasses 5. Assistant Commandant (Tech) SEX:- Male BRANCH:- Technical Branch AGE:- 21-25 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- Degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/ Marine/ Electrical/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Design / Production/Aeronautical/Control Engineering or equivalent qualification PHYSICAL STANDARD:- Height 157 cm Weight Proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/12 and 6/36 5. Assistant Commandant (Law) SEX:- Male/Female BRANCH:- Law Branch AGE:- 21-30 years (5 years relaxation for Govt. servant EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- (i) A degree in Law DESIRABLE:- (i) A post graduate degree in Law. (ii) Knowledge / Experience Assignment connected with International Law/Maritime Law PHYSICAL STANDARD:- Height 157 cm/152cm(M/F) Weight Proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/6 and 6/12 (with glass), 6/60 (without glass) ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (a) The candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) or suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy are not eligible for Pilot branch however may apply for Navigator (Observer). (b) The upper age limit for OBC/SC/ST is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in vogue. (c) Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to appear. (d) Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges. (e) Candidates appeared in the final year/ final semester exam and awaiting result may also apply provided they should not have any present back log. Such candidates should be able to provide provisional / original degree certificate issued by the University at the time of Preliminary Selection. Provisional degree issued by the college will not be accepted. (f) Candidates holding five years LLB integrated degree after passing XIIth with Maths and Physics or three years LLB with Physics+Maths as subjects in 10+2 can also apply in GD branch. The aggregate of Maths and Physics should be 60% and above in 12th standard. |
