Applications are invited from candidates for recruitment as Havildar (Surveyor Automated Cartographer) in the Army who fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
1. ELIGIBILITY
- Age : 20 to 25 years for civilan candidates and upto 28 years for remustered candidates as on first day of Recruitment Rally.
- Educational Qualification : The Minimum educational qualification for appointment will be BA/B Sc with Mathematics or BE / B Tech, having passed 12th Class (10+2) or equivalent with Science and Mathematics as main subjects from a Recognised Board/University.
- Number of vacancies: 10(Ten)
2. PHYSICAL STANDARD : Minimum physical standards will be as applicable to the Soldier (General Duty) category. These very depending upon the region of the country. The country has been divided into six regions, e.g Western Himalayan Region, Eastern Himalayan Region, Western Plains Region, Eastern Plains Region, Central Region and Southern Region. The details can be obtained from the nearest HQ Recruiting Zone/Army Recruitment Office/IRO.
3. MODE OF RECRUITMENT
- SCREENING : Screening of the candidates will be carried out from 27 - 28 Oct 2014 at BEG Centre Roorkee.
- PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT) : Physical Fitness Tests applicable are as follows: -
(ii) Pull Ups (Beam) - minimum of 6.
(iii) Balance - Quality.
(iv) 9 Feet Ditc - Quality.
4. MEDICAL STANDARD : A candidate should have robust physique and mental health, chest should be well developed having minimum 5cm expansion, should have normal hearing with each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural health gum and teeth, i.e. 14 dental points. Should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles.
5. WRITTEN EXAMINATION : Only those candidates selected in the screening will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted only at BEG Centre, Roorkee on 30 Oct 2014. The written examination will comprise of two papers as follows: -
- Paper-1 (Mathematics)
- Paper-2 (Physics & Chemistry)
NOTE : Candidate has to score min of 20 marks each in Paper 1 and Paper 2 separately.
6. RESULT : Results of the written edxamination and names of successful candidates will be communicated by BEG Centre, Roorkee.
7. MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Candidate who qualify in the written exam will require to undergo a Medical Examination wef 07-08 Nov 14 in BEG Centre, Roorkee. The candidate should be in Med Category SHAPE-I in term of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dt 05 Aug 2005 and as amended from time to time.
8. TERMS OF ENROLLMENT
Selected candidates will be undergo 19 weeks of Basic Military Training at BEG Centre, Roorkee. On successful completion of training the candidates will be enrolled in the rank of Havildar (Svy Auto Carto).
9. PAY, ALLOWANCES AND PERKS : On completion of training the Hav (Svy Auto Carto) will be placed at the minimum pay scale of Rs 5200-20200. In addition they will be entitled to DA, free accommodation, entitled ration for self, unform, free medical and leave travel concession for self, family, and dependents, canteen facilities and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army.

6. Candidates are required to produce the following document, when called for screening: -
- Character certificate by Sarpanch of the Viilage or authorised signatory of the State Government.
- Domicile / Resident / Vativity certificate from the authorized signatrory of the State Government.
- Original Certificate from matriculation onward and detailed Mark Sheet of each year separately pertaining to Educational Qualification.
- NCC Certificate in original, if applicable.
- Relationship certificate in original for son of serviceman/ex-servicemen, son of war widow/son of widow, if applicable (issued by concerned Record Office).
8. Do not use performance booster drugs to clear physical fitness test. it is better to practice and clear the test.
9. Do not use mobile phone or unfairmeans during CEE.
10. Candidates eill get their pre medical examination done under own arrangement before particapating in PFT. Rect org will not be responsible for any mishappening
